Why is my Spooler service stopped?
If your spooler service is stopped, so you have some problems with this service and you can see spooler service error. At first you should not panic, maybe this error is just occasional and after the next reboot your problems will not appear. So, reboot your computer and wait for the results. But if after the reboot you will see the error message again or you will not be able to print, so you should find some other methods in order to make your printer print and not to spend your nerves.
There are several reasons why your spooler service stopped. It can happen because of the software problems. We mean problems with your drivers or with the spooler service itself. So if the problem is in your drivers, you can solve the problem, reinstalling the drivers. Just uninstall the existent drivers and install new appropriate drivers. Be careful and download only the drivers from the manufacturer website, otherwise instead of the solved spooler problem you will have viral problems also. Concerning the viral problems, the printer spooler problem can be caused also by different viruses. Here several variants are possible. A problematic virus can infect the spoolsv.exe file itself (the essential file of the spooler service) and that’s why the service cannot run. Virus can also infect any part of your computer and show you fake error messages. This case is very rare, but still you can encounter this problem. There are also some cases when the virus can infect different files of your computer, not only the spoolsv.exe, and in this case the crash of your system is inevitable if you will not delete the viruses.

Start your print spooler service
If you want to try to fix the issue by yourselves, so you can try to restart the service. Follow the instructions in order to do it:
1. Right-click My Computer and select Manage.
2. You will see the Window. Select there Services.
3. You will see the list of all the services of your computer. Find in the list Print Spooler service and double-click it.
4. Select Recovery tab in the Window and under the Subsequent Failures choose Restart the service and click OK.
